To Our Valued Clients and Pet Parents,

We are thrilled to share some paws-itively wonderful news with you! Macleod Trail Animal Hospital is embarking on a journey to enhance the care and comfort we provide to your furry family members. Starting Monday, October 2, the range of services we provide will be impacted.

Clinic Renovations Overview

Our upcoming renovations will encompass primarily the front portion of the clinic to provide a more modern, efficient, and inviting space for all. Here’s a sneak peek into what’s to come:

• Updated Reception Area: A revamped reception area to ensure a warm welcome for you and your pets.
• Calming Environment: Incorporating soothing colors and natural elements to create a calm and stress-reducing atmosphere for anxious pets.
• More Examination Areas: An increase in our examination rooms both in number and in size.

Renovation Timeline

The renovation work is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 2. We anticipate completing the transformation by Saturday, October 28, though we may see it start to wrap up early. We understand that this will cause minor inconveniences, but we promise that every effort will be made to minimize disruptions to our services during this period.

We will continue to be open during our normal hours to provide our usual standard of care.

Contacting Us

• We will be continuously available by email (office@mactrailvet.com). This is our preferred method of communication during renovations and encourage you to contact us this way for the fastest response.
• Phone service may be unavailable for periods of time, especially during the first week. Please leave us a message though and we will return your call as soon as we are able to.

Food and Prescription Pickup

• We will be available every day during our normal hours for curbside food and prescription pickup.
• Our stock levels will be kept lower for a portion of September and into October. We encourage you to reorder your pet’s food and/or medications at least 2 business days prior to when you will be picking it up, though more time is always appreciated. We may need to order in items that we normally keep in stock (especially large bags of dog food!).
• We encourage you to use our Prescription Refill Form on our website (http://www.mactrailvet.com/forms) to ensure the fastest turnaround time for medication. Simply fill out all of fields and click ‘Submit’. You will be contacted when your prescription is ready to be picked up.

Appointments

• From Monday, October 2, through Saturday, October 7, we will be limiting appointments to in-clinic medication administration (ie. Solensia and Librela injections) and time sensitive blood work.
• Starting Tuesday, October 10, and until this project is completed, we will start incorporating appointments into our schedule. These will be offered curbside-style (after speaking with you in our designated parking lot, your pet will join us in the clinic while you wait in your vehicle. Our dedicated team of veterinarians, veterinary technologists, and assistants will show the utmost care to your pet, as we know this can be stressful for some of patients and their pet-parents).
• To ensure we are able to help our sickest patients, we may not be able to accommodate some elective appointments (primarily adult dog and cat vaccines). We have begun sending out email reminders for vaccines due in October early to ensure you have plenty of time to book ahead if needed.
• We, unfortunately, will not be able to offer any surgery or dental procedures during this time. We have begun to assemble a waiting list that will scheduled on a first come first serve basis starting in November.
• For emergencies and urgent issues, we are situated between 3 Emergency Hospitals
